Outfielders are supposed to use the big gloves so that way it's easier to get the glove in front of the ball even when reaching out, diving etc. Not only that, but the ball won't pop out of a big glove. Smaller gloves are made for infielder who need small gloves so they can get the ball to their throwing arm quickly.
Personally, I'm in high school and my glove is 14 inches. However, it's not the size of the glovethat counts; it's how you use it. If your 12.5 glove is comfortable, just use that. It would be one thing if you were changing from a 10 inch glove to a 14, but changing from 12.5 to 12.75 makes no difference. It's not like you can catch the ball using only 1/4 of an inch of your glove.

But the most important thing is that you should feel comfortable with the shoes whether they are from Pearl Izumi, Sidi or another brand. You have to test them and you should take the shoes with which you are feel comfortable.
